Role Description

The role will be responsible for translating product strategy and business priorities into a coherent set of features for one or more scrum teams. Take on multiple roles including Feature lead, Developer, product designer, QA, and project manager. Key member of the team strategizing and presenting the future vision of the product to business and technology stakeholders in collaboration with the Product Manager.

• Execute the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, define products to serve those needs, and assess overall business justification and strategic fit for products.
• Execute the value proposition and business case.
• Provide team leadership through communication and coordination of cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
• Lead architecture for all components in an investment segment.
• Responsible for design of systems in the investment segment.
• Actively support Product Manager in Product Planning and business performance of one or more products.
• Engage with customers throughout the product lifecycle to glean product insights.
• Understand requirements from stakeholders and turn them into consumable backlog items for the team.
• Write clear, compelling, and detailed (technical) user epics and stories with user acceptance criteria.
• Participate in story grooming exercises for crisp and unambiguous documentation and communication of features to be developed.
• Ensure the backlog is prioritized before the sprint.
• Coordinate with appropriate architects to ensure tech decisions are made and implemented.
• Identify business process improvements and opportunities for automation.
• Work with the Product Manager and Engineering Leader to propose percentage of effort for different types of value in each release.
• Participate in technical and sales enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in business or technical field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in the areas of data engineering and product management.
• Expertise in Java for backend development.
• Expertise with databases, particularly Mongo Atlas, and developing/consuming REST APIs.
• Track record of designing and developing data products or software products.
• Exposure to cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of agile and scrum methodologies.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Redis, Security Domain, Datadog, Code fresh.
• Working knowledge of data ETL preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Ability to communicate with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and active listener.
• Able to set and meet time-sensitive goals.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to change while providing structure to operations and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

• AI-assisted development: Experience using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor to support coding, code review, documentation, and test generation.
• LLM and agentic workflows: Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent-based workflows, with the ability to apply them thoughtfully in software engineering use cases.
• Responsible AI practices: Understanding of responsible AI principles, including bias mitigation, security considerations, explainability, and appropriate use of AI-generated outputs.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with frontend scripting languages such as Node.js and React.js.
• Understanding of spark framework along with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Hands-on Terraform will be advantageous.
