Role Description

ASRC NetCentric is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support a DHS program located in the DC metro area. Work location: Remote.

The DHS Program will provide professional services to support application analysis, architectural design, engineering, development, maintenance, and support. We will provide a team experienced with:

The ServiceNow Developer develops and maintains applications across DHS platforms; collaborates on requirements, UI, data interfaces; supports SELC phases and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Applying expertise in software development to solving business issues
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
• Possessing good client-facing interpersonal skills
• Having experience in all phases of the systems engineering life cycle (SELC)
• Designing and developing documents and tests and maintaining applications in ServiceNow programming language or environment
• Working with analysts and customers to derive requirements for use cases/scenarios
• Determining the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Planning, assigning work when acting in a lead role
• Producing and implementing design specifications
• Identifying and working with strategic and technology partners
• Planning, designing and programming functionality to interface with SQL Server or Oracle
• Planning, designing and developing user interfaces
• Designing, developing and maintaining automated deployment processes
• Maintaining current industry knowledge of development concepts
• Facilitating meetings to determine the validity and priority of issues
• Investigating, identifying and resolving complex code issues
• Staying current with associated technology advances
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues
• May have to supervise subordinate software programmers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT discipline
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience combined in computer programming and analysis of complex information systems
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in ServiceNow programming language or environment
• Must be a US citizen to meet contract requirements
• The ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust; prior Public Trust or Security Clearance preferred
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to collaborate and understand the remote work culture
