Role Description

The Senior Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and platform configuration.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, data modeling, sharing rules, governor limits, and platform best practices.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, middleware, event-driven architectures, or other integration technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, administrators, architects, and engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple solution options and make sound technical decisions.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (Preferred).
• Self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria: minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
• Associates who live and work from Home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
