[Hiring] Senior OutSystems Solution Architect @NTT DATA Services

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior OutSystems Solution Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale applications using OutSystems O11 and OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC). You will work across solution architecture, application modernization, enterprise integrations, workflow automation, DevOps, security, and technical delivery. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who can translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while providing direction to development teams and business stakeholders. You will also help establish and evolve OutSystems Center of Excellence (CoE) practices and identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI to improve enterprise workflows and automation.

What You'll Do

• Solution Architecture
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications using OutSystems O11 and ODC.
  • Define application architecture, integration patterns, security models, reusable components, and deployment strategies.
  • Translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Establish reusable application components, templates, workflow patterns, and architecture frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to OutSystems developers and technical leads.
• OutSystems CoE & Governance
  • Establish and mature OutSystems Center of Excellence practices.
  • Define standards for architecture, development, security, documentation, testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Establish governance for project intake, architecture reviews, reusable assets, application templates, and production releases.
  • Develop and maintain development and DevOps best practices and playbooks.
  • Promote consistency, quality, scalability, and maintainability across the OutSystems application portfolio.
• Enterprise Integration
  • Design and oversee integrations between OutSystems applications and enterprise platforms using:
    • REST and SOAP APIs
    • Salesforce
    • SAP and other ERP platforms
    • Microsoft Graph API
    • AWS services, including S3 and Redshift
    • Databricks
    • Power BI
    • SharePoint
    • SQL Server
    • Payment platforms and other enterprise services
  • Experience with SSO, OIDC, identity providers (IdP), SCIM, and enterprise authentication patterns is highly desirable.
• Workflow & Process Automation
  • Architect enterprise workflow, approval, and business-process automation solutions.
  • Design configurable sequential and parallel approval processes.
  • Implement notifications, escalations, exception handling, recalls, audit trails, and approval hierarchies.
  • Automate manual and document-intensive business processes.
  • Design solutions capable of supporting high-volume enterprise transactions.
  • Ensure workflow applications provide appropriate auditability and traceability.
• DevOps & CI/CD
  • Establish and improve CI/CD practices for OutSystems applications.
  • Integrate OutSystems deployment processes with enterprise DevOps tools such as Jenkins.
  • Manage application promotion across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
  • Support release management, deployment governance, production releases, and post-production support.
• AI & Intelligent Automation
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate Generative AI and Agentic AI into enterprise applications and workflows.
  • Design intelligent automation capabilities such as:
    • Automated reminders and follow-ups
    • Action-item generation
    • Intelligent workflow assistance
    • Exception management
    • AI-assisted business-process automation
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and determine where they can deliver measurable business value.
• Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent OutSystems initiatives.
  • Lead requirements and architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Guide technical estimation, backlog planning, and delivery strategy.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, developers, QA, infrastructure teams, and business leaders.
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical delivery planning.
  • Oversee development, testing, UAT, deployment, and production stabilization.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and architecture presentations.
  • Mentor development teams and promote engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall IT experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on OutSystems experience.
• Strong experience with OutSystems O11 and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience with OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) or comparable modern OutSystems environments.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale OutSystems applications.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with enterprise authentication and identity technologies such as SSO, OIDC, and IdP.
• Experience architecting workflow, approval, and business-process automation solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment, and release management.
• Strong SQL and enterprise data-integration experience.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• OutSystems Architect or Tech Lead certification.
• OutSystems ODC certification.
• OutSystems Agentic AI certification or hands-on AI automation experience.
• Experience with:
