[Hiring] Senior .NET Backend Engineer @CodeRoad

Role Description

CodeRoad is seeking a Contractor to join our team. In this role, you will:

• Architect & Scale Robust Backends: Lead the engineering and technical health of mission-critical .NET backends, driving high availability, security, and scalability across distributed 3-tier and microservices architectures.
• Orchestrate High-Performance APIs: Design, build, and optimize robust RESTful API integrations that streamline enterprise workflows and connect core services seamlessly.
• Drive Database Excellence: Take full ownership of SQL database environments, architecting clean schemas, authoring complex stored procedures, and executing performance tuning to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Eliminate Technical Debt: Proactively reverse-engineer legacy components, modernize legacy codebases, and introduce clean architecture standards that elevate delivery velocity.
• Elevate Engineering Standards: Champion engineering excellence through comprehensive code reviews, technical mentorship of mid and junior engineers, and production-ready system documentation.
• Partner with Stakeholders: Collaborate directly with U.S. client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate complex business objectives into resilient technical implementations.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of Backend Engineering: Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-grade backend systems in fast-paced software environments.
• Deep .NET Expertise: Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Core / .NET 5+, and ASP.NET Web API, with hands-on experience in 3-tier and microservices paradigms.
• Advanced SQL Mastery: Solid experience managing SQL databases, indexing strategies, complex query optimization, and schema design for data-heavy platforms.
• Cloud & Modern DevOps: Solid experience with GCP (or equivalent cloud-native platforms), automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Git workflows.
• Collaborative Client Experience: Prior experience operating in nearshore/offshore engagement models within high-growth, client-facing startup environments.
• Fluent English Communication: Advanced professional verbal and written English skills with the confidence to lead architectural discussions directly with North American engineering leadership.
