[Hiring] Senior GCP Platform Engineer @Inficare Technologies

Role Description

Our client is seeking a Senior GCP Platform Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale cloud services and integration capabilities for a modern digital platform ecosystem. This role focuses on building reusable enterprise services, APIs, event-driven integrations, and cloud-native platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with architects, product teams, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available platform services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise platform services on GCP including Cloud Functions and other managed services
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, backend services, and enterprise integration standards
• Build and support event-driven solutions using Google Pub/Sub and asynchronous messaging patterns
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, Firestore, Cloud Datastore, and Redis caching layers
• Contribute to CI/CD automation, DevOps initiatives, code reviews, and architecture design sessions
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices

Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Datastore
• Python, REST API Development, OpenAPI / Swagger, Git
• PostgreSQL, Advanced SQL, Data Modeling
• CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure Automation
• Distributed systems and event-driven architecture experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills - C-level English proficiency required

Preferred Skills

• Apigee or other API Management platforms
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
• Agile software delivery experience
• Google Cloud Professional Certifications

Location & Work Model

Fully remote - candidates must be based in Mexico or Colombia.

Engagement Details

Contract engagement. Minimum 7 years of software/cloud/platform engineering experience required, with at least 3 years of hands-on GCP experience.
