Role Description

We are looking for an experienced virtual prototype engineer who can help us in deploying virtual prototype solutions for next generation cellular and connectivity products. Candidate must have an excellent record of efficiently developing Virtual Platform IP models for complex SOCs.

• Involved in the Virtual Prototype development for the SoC for the purpose of cellular software development.
• Collaborate closely with system engineering, SOC, and SW teams.
• Integration of cycle accurate CPU subsystems for profiling activities, performance modelling, creation of hybrid simulation, and speed optimisation.
• Involved in IP modelling, test bench development, subsystem integration, and developing low level driver for VP platform verification.
• Engage in the SW bring-up on the simulation platform and provide support to the SW team.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
• 7 to 14 years of experience in virtual platform development, including Virtual Prototyping, IP modeling (e.g., SystemC or similar languages), platform integration, and verification for complex SoCs.
• Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ and scripting experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with test bench development, subsystem integration, and developing test cases for VP platform verification.
• Proven ability to support software bring-up on simulation platforms and assist software teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across multiple cross-functional teams (such as System Engineering, SoC, and SW teams).
• Proficient in using AI tools like Claude for coding, debugging, and automation, with hands-on experience building AI agents that make simulation workflows faster and more efficient.
• Strong experience with Git and GitHub, including branching, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of CPU architectures and subsystems, complex SoC architecture, and hardware/software interfaces.
• Experience with the integration of cycle-accurate CPU subsystems for profiling activities, performance modeling, hybrid simulation, and simulation speed optimization.
• Understanding of cellular domain concepts is an added advantage, including familiarity with 3GPP standards or working experience with L1/L2 layers.
