[Hiring] Senior AI-Native Product Engineer @Zillow

Role Description

This is not a standard Senior Software Development Engineer role. We’re looking for a mobile product builder who can take an ambiguous idea and turn it into a shipped, instrumented, and continuously improving customer experience. In this role, you’ll:

• Partner closely with product, design, and engineering peers to shape solutions.
• Build across mobile and supporting services when needed.
• Use AI-assisted tools as part of day-to-day development while remaining accountable for quality, correctness, customer experience, and results.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance, and location.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building and shipping production mobile applications on iOS and/or Android.
• Comfortable working across the stack, including mobile clients, APIs, services, and data considerations.
• Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations.
• Track record of owning features end to end, from ambiguous problem definition through launch and post-launch iteration.
• Strong technical, product, and business judgment, with the ability to connect engineering decisions to customer and company impact.
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional partners and clear communication in writing and verbally, including in asynchronous environments.
• Depth in one mobile platform and working familiarity with the other, with the ability to reason about cross-platform experiences and backend-connected issues.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work while maintaining accountability for quality, correctness, and customer experience.
