Role Description

CTG is seeking to fill a SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect (Enterprise Applications/BTP Focus) position for our client.

Location: Remote; may require some travel to New Jersey

Duration: 12 months

• Lead architecture and technical design for SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives across enterprise environments
• Define solution strategies, reference architectures, and deployment models for scalable SAP landscapes
• Design, develop, and optimize SAP solutions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), RAP, CAP, and Fiori/UI5
• Guide clients through system modernization efforts including cloud migration, infrastructure transformation, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including solution architects, developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, technical roadmaps, and governance standards
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions
• Provide expertise in data migration, custom code remediation, and integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems
• Advise stakeholders on compatibility, training, and change management considerations during transformation initiatives
• Ensure delivery aligns with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients and leadership teams

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and enterprise application design
• Strong experience with SAP BTP, including integrations and extension development
• Proficiency in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Hands-on experience with SAP UI5, Fiori architecture, Launchpad configuration, and app extensions
• Strong knowledge of SAP system sizing, deployment strategies, and performance tuning
• Experience with SAP integrations including IDOC, EDI, APIs, and third-party platforms
• Familiarity with modern development technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, Java/J2EE, and AJAX
• Working knowledge of Groovy, XML, and XSLT
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Requirements

• 15+ years of SAP experience, including design and delivery of enterprise-scale applications
• Proven experience leading at least two SAP S/4HANA migration projects, including custom code remediation
• Extensive experience designing and supporting multi-tier, hybrid-cloud enterprise systems
• Experience with SAP BTP environments such as Cloud Foundry and Kyma
• Background in SAP integrations and exposure to platforms such as Concur, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Sales Cloud, or Coupa preferred
• Functional knowledge across SAP modules such as FI, SD, MM, PP, PS, or WM preferred
• Prior experience working with senior stakeholders and executive leadership
• Previous team leadership or people management experience preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field required
• Master’s degree or relevant SAP certifications preferred
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
