[Hiring] SAP FICO Senior / Expert Consultant (JVA & Revenue Recognition) @DYNE IT Services

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior SAP FICO Consultant (8+ years experience) with deep expertise in Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) and Revenue Recognition, ideally with exposure to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations. This is a 100% Remote role within Europe, with a strong preference for candidates based in Lisbon, Portugal. Candidates located anywhere in Europe are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) – Core Expertise
  • End-to-end ownership of the SAP JVA lifecycle, including:
    • Venture setup and configuration
    • Partner maintenance and equity share definition
    • Transaction postings and allocations
    • Billing, cash calls, and settlements
    • JVA reporting and reconciliation
  • Ensure accurate inter-partner accounting and compliance with financial agreements.
• Revenue Recognition (Advanced)
  • Design and implement revenue recognition models aligned with contractual obligations.
  • Define and structure contracts and performance obligations in SAP.
  • Configure grouping logic for contracts using:
    • Projects / WBS elements
    • Sales Orders
    • Billing Plans
  • Ensure seamless revenue recognition across milestones, progress tracking, and billing events.
• SAP Integration Touchpoints
  • Strong cross-module integration knowledge across:
    • SD (Sales & Distribution)
      • Sales orders, billing plans
      • Billing documents
      • Credit and debit memos
    • PS (Project System)
      • WBS structures
      • Milestone-based billing
      • Progress tracking
      • Revenue and cost accumulation
    • MM / FI
      • Procurement processes
      • Service entry sheets
      • Cost postings impacting revenue recognition
• General SAP FICO Responsibilities
  • Lead and support standard SAP FICO processes, including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Asset Accounting
    • Period-end closing activities
  • Provide functional leadership during implementations, rollouts, and enhancements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience
• Strong, proven expertise in Joint Venture Accounting (JVA)
• Revenue Recognition experience in complex project-based or contractual environments
• Solid understanding of SAP SD, PS, MM integration with FI
• Experience working on S/4HANA projects (Public Cloud experience is a strong plus)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multi-country European setup

Nice to Have (Added Advantage)

• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation experience
• Experience working with manufacturing, energy, utilities, or large project-driven enterprises
• Exposure to international or multi-entity financial environments
