[Hiring] SAP Commerce Cloud Developer @ReilCom

Role Description

We have 3 open positions, each of which is explained below:

SAP Commerce Cloud – Sr. Developer

• Develop and manage custom extensions and integrations with external systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, SAP C4C)
• Lead performance optimization initiatives and system scalability planning
• Design and implement workflows for content approval processes
• Conduct technical reviews and establish development standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders on strategic roadmap planning
• Manage complex deployments and system upgrades

Required Skills

• Advanced SAP Commerce Cloud expertise – deep understanding of platform architecture and best practices; minimum 7 years of experience and 2 complete SAP eCommerce (Hybris) implementations; certification preferred
• Headless implementation – proven experience with headless frontend architectures
• Enterprise integration – solid knowledge of API design, middleware integration, and data synchronization with ERP/PIM systems
• SmartEdit architecture understanding
• Workflow & approval process design
• SOLR – indexing strategies, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Performance optimization – scaling, caching strategies, and system tuning
• DevOps & Cloud – CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and monitoring
• Team leadership – mentoring, code reviews, and technical project management
• Language: fluent English, strong communication skills, and a consulting mindset
• International experience – ability to work in cross-functional, international teams
• Basic knowledge of SAP ERP (material master data, business partner, OtC processes)
• Security competencies – solid understanding of modern security concepts (OAuth, OIDC, token-based authentication, CORS, etc.)

Technologies

• Backend: Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Apache Tomcat, MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server
• Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React, HTML5/CSS3/SASS, RESTful APIs
• Integration & DevOps: Apache Solr, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Jira/Confluence

SAP Commerce Cloud – Sr. Developer, Webshop Focus

• Troubleshoot content synchronization issues
• Perform routine data quality checks and cleanup activities
• Handle first-level support tickets independently
• Execute standard deployment procedures

Required Skills

• SAP Commerce Cloud fundamentals – solid understanding of platform architecture and core concepts; minimum 3 years of SAP eCommerce (Hybris) experience and 5 years in an IT environment
• Java programming – solid foundation for customizations and extensions
• SQL & database knowledge – for data queries and basic data manipulation
• Web technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript for frontend customizations
• Language: fluent English, strong communication skills
• International experience – ability to work in cross-functional, international teams
• Strong analytical skills
• Eagerness to develop and learn

SAP Commerce Cloud – Sr. Developer, PCM Focus

• Design and implement complex product data models and taxonomies
• Develop custom PCM extensions and integrations with external systems
• Architect multi-channel content publishing strategies

Additional Required Skills

• PCM Module Mastery – comprehensive experience with complex product data models, multi-channel publishing, and workflow automation

Location

• Remote from South East Asia - Must be willing to work according to the CET timezone (client is in Germany)

Work Pattern

• Full-time - 5 days per week
• Working according to the German timezone (CET)
