Role Description

This is a remote position.

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP solutions for SAP Transportation Management (TM).
• Work closely with SAP TM functional consultants to translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance TM functionality involving:
  • Freight Units
  • Freight Orders
  • Freight Bookings
  • Transportation Requests
  • Charges
  • Planning and Execution processes
• Strong hands-on experience with the BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) used extensively within SAP TM, including:
  • Determinations
  • Validations
  • Actions
  • Queries
  • Enhancements
• Develop solutions using:
  • ABAP Objects (OO ABAP)
  • CDS Views
  • AMDP
  • RAP/OData services
  • Other S/4HANA development technologies where applicable
• Strong experience with:
  • Enhancement Framework
  • BAdIs
  • Enhancement spots
  • Implicit/explicit enhancements
  • Custom Fields and Logic (CFL)
  • Other S/4HANA extensibility approaches
• Develop and support interfaces using:
  • IDocs
  • RFCs
  • APIs
  • Web services
  • OData
  • Proxies
  • Integration with SAP CPI/Integration Suite
• Experience working with TM-related integration with S/4HANA modules such as:
  • SD
  • MM
  • EWM
  • FI
• Develop and enhance Adobe Forms, output solutions, reports, workflows, background jobs, and custom applications as required.
• Perform debugging and root-cause analysis of complex TM technical issues across integrated systems.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of:
  • ABAP programs
  • CDS views
  • Database queries
  • Interfaces
  • Batch processes
• Prepare Technical Specification Documents (TSDs) based on approved Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Perform code reviews and ensure developments comply with SAP S/4HANA Clean Core and ABAP Cloud-ready development principles.
• Perform technical unit testing and support FUT/SIT/UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and production stabilization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers.
