[Hiring] Principal Software Engineer @Lean Solutions Group

Role Description

As a Principal Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing solutions for the company. You will serve as an advocate for engineering decisions.

• Lead initiatives involving the development of new products and services.
• Work directly with IT, as well as other teams supporting Transportation Management's various platforms and systems.
• This position reports to the Sr. Director of Solutions Engineering.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Related Engineering.
• 7+ years experience working in a corporate engineering or software development environment.
• Must have well-rounded experience planning and implementing engineering, analytics, and relationship development.
• The ability to hit the ground running in a very busy atmosphere.
• Strong Experience with Python and SQL, Proficiency in software engineering tools.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Ability to conduct software reviews and status updates with leadership.
• Ability to run project meetings (requirements & design).

Requirements

• 10+ years experience working in a corporate engineering or Supply Chain consulting environment (Nice to Have).
• Sound knowledge of Supply Chain Engineering, Software Engineering, Data and Platforms Engineering (Nice to Have).
• Experience with Supply Chain modeling platforms like Supply Chain Guru, Llama.ai, NextMV, Gains, Sophus, Starboard, Optilogic, or TMOD (Nice to Have).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (Nice to Have).
• Experience with Go/Golang (Nice to Have).
• Experience with ML Algorithms, Optimization Algorithms, and Building AI Native Apps / MCP (Nice to Have).
