Role Description

We are looking for a hands-on Platform Architect who designs the foundation and writes the first code with AI-assisted tooling. This role offers a rare chance to define a platform from a clean sheet in an industry evolving rapidly under growing demand for compute and AI.

• Build the foundation of the new platform: the control plane and tenancy, written with coding agents and engineers.
• Design and own the unified data model and its evolution, publish it with the public API as a specification.
• Own retrieval and query performance at telemetry scale: storage choices, query patterns, latency targets, tenant isolation.
• Choose the technology stack and platform standards, recommend the cloud platform and ensure portability.
• Design how the platform integrates large language models and other AI services for operational intelligence.
• Define the contract for site data entry into the platform in partnership with Integrations.
• Provide technical direction to engineers joining the new platform in its initial months.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building back-end and platform systems, with experience shipping a multi-tenant SaaS platform or control plane on Kubernetes.
• Designed the domain data model for a complex operational system and owned its evolution across releases.
• Delivered retrieval performance at telemetry scale, with experience in time-series and relational storage.
• Hands-on experience on a major public cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure) with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Built identity, tenancy, and security by design into enterprise SaaS.
• Designed and published an API or data-model specification for external teams.
• Served as a senior individual contributor on a platform's foundational production code.

Requirements

• Experience with agentic coding tools and directing agent-written code.
• Knowledge of or experience with DCIM products.
• Designed platform ingress with Kafka-compatible streaming and MQTT brokers.
• Instrumented a platform with OpenTelemetry for observability.
• Integrated large language models into a platform.
• Experience running a platform across public clouds or shipping software as a cloud service and in customer-hosted environments.
