Role Description

We are seeking a high-performing Principal Architect to lead the architecture, automation, and delivery of cloud solutions for one of the world's leading networks of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on experience using Bicep for provisioning and managing Azure infrastructure.
• Proven track record working within professional services, financial institutions, banking, or similarly regulated environments with strict governance and SDLC standards.
• Demonstrated background operating as a Principal/Lead Engineer with a proven ability to work independently, manage delivery risks, and drive technical decision-making.
• Great written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex architecture concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Based in the EMEA region, with willingness to adjust working hours to support key project partners in the US Eastern Time zone.

Requirements

• Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Azure cloud solutions, taking full ownership of project outcomes from concept to production.
• Build, maintain, and scale automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using Bicep, Azure DevOps, and modern git-based workflows.
• Act as a principal-level engineering guide, delegating technical tasks to junior team members, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering engineering best practices.
• Design and enforce secure software development lifecycles (SDLC) tailored to the stringent security, governance, and audit requirements of a professional services environment.
• Work directly with senior stakeholders and technical counterparts across EMEA and US Eastern time zones, translating business requirements into robust architectural designs.
