Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer, Enterprise Applications to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of critical enterprise systems. This role will guide solution design, support effective technology delivery, and ensure scalable, high-quality implementations across complex business applications and integrated platforms. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong collaboration skills, working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, architecture, and infrastructure partners.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can help shape solutions, guide implementation decisions, resolve complex technical challenges, and improve the overall quality and scalability of enterprise technology. This position will play an important role in reducing technical risk, improving engineering practices, strengthening system integrations, and ensuring technology solutions support the organization's long-term business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Technical Leadership & Solution Design
  • Lead the design of end-to-end technology solutions across complex enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective, scalable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex initiatives involving multiple systems, integrations, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, technology strategies, and long-term business objectives.
  • Evaluate technical approaches and make recommendations that balance business needs, scalability, maintainability, and delivery considerations.
• Engineering Leadership & Delivery
  • Work closely with engineering teams to guide implementation approaches and ensure solutions align with architectural and technical design.
  • Support teams working through complex or high-risk initiatives by helping resolve technical challenges and remove delivery obstacles.
  • Promote strong engineering practices, development standards, and technical discipline across teams.
  • Review and validate key technical designs, implementation decisions, and integration approaches.
  • Provide technical guidance and influence without necessarily having direct people-management responsibility.
• Enterprise Integration & Collaboration
  • Drive consistency in integration patterns, data flows, APIs, and interactions across enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver cohesive technology solutions.
  • Serve as a technical connector across multiple business systems and platforms.
  • Ensure data and system interactions are reliable, efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Identify dependencies and potential technical risks across interconnected applications.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and reinforce standards for solution design, engineering practices, and system integration.
  • Identify and address technical risks, architectural gaps, and inefficiencies.
  • Drive improvements in application reliability, scalability, performance, and overall technical quality.
  • Help reduce technical debt through practical, forward-looking engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of enterprise technology standards and practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, solution architecture, or technical leadership roles.
• Strong experience designing and implementing solutions across complex enterprise applications and integrated technology environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical platforms or similarly complex operational systems.
• Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, data flows, and distributed system design.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams through complex initiatives.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to lead across teams and functions without direct authority.
• Ability to understand complex technology landscapes and identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in highly regulated or complex business environments.
• Exposure to modern technology environments, including cloud platforms, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid technology delivery environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, technology governance, and architectural standards.
• Experience working across multiple interconnected enterprise platforms and technology teams.
