Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect / Automation Delivery Lead for a long-term automation initiative. This is a senior-level opportunity requiring a strong combination of technical architecture expertise, leadership capability, and experience within complex enterprise environments. The successful candidate will lead a team of Solution Architects and Automation Engineers, drive technical direction, and ensure successful delivery across multiple workstreams. The role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that automation solutions are scalable, secure, well-governed, and aligned with business requirements. The role is fully remote and will run until July 2027, with an ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Lead.
• Proven track record of leading architecture or engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within large and complex enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of automation, infrastructure, and platform engineering.
• Experience driving technical change and organisational adoption.
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Ability to influence and align stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with pragmatic execution.
• Comfortable working across both business and technology domains.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Requirements

• Lead and mentor a team of Solution Architects and Automation Engineers.
• Drive solution ownership and architectural decision-making.
• Define and communicate technical strategy and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure alignment across teams and initiatives.
• Support delivery teams in removing technical blockers and mitigating risks.
• Establish and promote automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Contribute hands-on when required while maintaining overall solution ownership.
• Drive technical change and support organisational adoption.
• Ensure automation and platform solutions are appropriately governed and aligned with enterprise requirements.
