[Hiring] Lead Platform Engineer @Ojin

Role Description

At Ojin, the infrastructure underneath our product is what makes it exceptional - real-time AI at scale only works if the systems powering it are built right. This is the person who owns that.

• Manage GPU deployments at scale across multiple clouds and regions.
• Architect the systems that make real-time AI possible.
• Set the technical direction for how we build and scale as the platform grows.
• Take a leadership role in cross-functional work, including compliance and security certifications.
• Coordinate across teams while maintaining technical depth.

What You'll Do

• Manage large-scale deployments of thousands of concurrent GPU servers, focusing on performance and efficiency.
• Architect and implement systems for dynamic deployment, routing, and load balancing across multiple clouds and regions.
• Design and implement deployment pipelines that are scalable, reliable, and user-friendly.
• Set technical direction for infrastructure decisions and raise the bar for team operations.
• Champion simple, robust tooling - research, document, and drive adoption across the team.
• Own observability and monitoring to ensure system reliability.
• Lead compliance and security certification work, including SOC2 Type II.
• Build software that is testable, operable, and maintainable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with AWS.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Go.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code - AWS CDK, Pulumi, or Terraform.
• Solid grasp of at least one other major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI) or on-premise deployments.
• Deep expertise in serverless architectures and security best practices.
• Solid understanding of containerization and Docker in real production environments.
• Experience with globally distributed, low-latency systems.
• Startup-experienced and comfortable with fast decisions and real ownership.
• Clear communicator in English, able to explain complex infrastructure decisions to various audiences.

Nice To Have

• Experience with AI/ML workloads and GPU infrastructure.
• Experience in AWS CDK specifically.
• Background in systems programming or graphics programming.
• Knowledge of the Wine ecosystem (Proton, VKD3D).
