[Hiring] Full Stack Engineer @Applaudo Studios

Role Description

You are a self-directed Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Vue.js. You take ownership, move quickly, and don’t wait to be unblocked; you proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and drive execution forward.

You are comfortable working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments, contributing from day one while collaborating with distributed teams. You bring a strong sense of autonomy, accountability, and clear communication.

This role offers two complementary tracks: Backend-focused or Frontend-focused, depending on your strengths.

Note: This position is offered under a contractor model for an initial period of 3 months, with extension potential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python (backend track) or Vue.js (frontend track).
• Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend contexts.
• Experience working in cloud-native or serverless environments.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs and machine-to-machine integrations.
• Ability to work autonomously within established frameworks without the need for close supervision.
• Proactive communication skills, with the ability to identify blockers and propose solutions early.
• Advanced English proficiency, working with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Backend-focused (preferred experience):
• Strong production experience with Python for APIs, services, and AWS Lambda.
• Familiarity with frontend development using Vue.js.
• Frontend-focused (preferred experience):
• Strong production experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern UI development.
• Solid CSS skills including responsive design and component-based styling.
• Familiarity with backend development using Python.
• Nice to have:
• Experience with AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, or SAM.
• Experience with Auth0 or Cognito.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time communication.
• Experience with E2E testing frameworks such as Selenium.
• Knowledge of frontend security best practices (XSS, injection prevention).
