Role Description

Bonapolia is a family-owned IT staff augmentation team based in Lisbon. We build engineering teams for product companies and IT consultancies across Europe and the US.

Qualifications

• Strong React/TypeScript and Python skills (FastAPI or similar).
• Experience delivering at least one LLM application to production, including RAG, prompt design, structured output, and OpenAI API.
• Hands-on experience with vector or hybrid search and document parsing (PDF, Word, Excel).
• Experience with LLM evaluation and observability tools (Langfuse or similar).
• Working knowledge of Azure, including VMs, application hosting, and Entra ID/SSO.
• Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to lead sessions with non-technical senior stakeholders, provide clear status updates, and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Requirements

• MCP server development or Claude/agent integrations (nice to have).
• Experience with PII and GDPR handling, including Presidio and EU data residency (nice to have).
• Background in finance, private equity, or M&A due diligence (nice to have).

• Payment: monthly invoice, paid on the same schedule the client pays us (usually 30 days).
• Contract written under your country's law.

• Duration: Until the end of 2026, with a potential extension into 2027.
• Location: EU, Eastern Europe, or other locations.
• Working hours: US working hours.
