Role Description

Micro1 is seeking experienced backend engineers to help train next-generation AI systems by creating realistic coding tasks involving feature implementation and bug fixes, together with deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions.

• Strong backend experience in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++ or similar.
• Record of building scalable services and APIs.
• Debugging, performance and automated-testing skills.
• Sound code-review judgment.
• Secure coding, AppSec, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, OWASP/CWE or security-focused reviews are a plus.

Engagement: Independent contractor, remote, approximately 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Micro1 advertises US$30–$100/hour. Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time varies with experience and workflow; minimum weekly task submissions apply. The advertised hourly range is not a guaranteed hourly wage.

Selection includes:

• Screening questions.
• Approximately 30-minute AI interview.
• Technical assessment if required.
• Hiring-manager review.

Micro1 asks applicants to complete interviews and assessments without outside assistance. Selected contributors should be ready to begin initial tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
