Role Description

We are seeking a visionary Associate Technical Director to lead the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions across our diverse portfolio of projects, including modern data and analytics platforms built on Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining architectural visions, collaborating with clients to clarify project requirements, advocating for the value of robust architecture, and fostering collaboration to achieve optimal project outcomes.

• Architect Solutions: Define elegant system architecture that meets complex project requirements, from application and integration layers to unified data platforms on Microsoft Fabric, then drive clarity, alignment, and execution of these architectures.
• Deliver Results: Provide end-to-end technical leadership and supervision for projects, navigating scope, risks, and 3rd parties to ensure successful delivery within budget and timeline; also lead the delivery of technically-focused initial engagements such as code audits and POC phases.
• Oversee Delivery: Provide oversight and direction for a portfolio of client engagements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and technical design.
• Specialization in cloud architecture and integration solutions.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in technical teams.
• Experience building on Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering production solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, lakehouse and warehouse design, Data Factory pipelines, and Power BI semantic models.
• Understanding of capacity planning, governance, and security in a Fabric environment.
• Interest in client engagements and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Staying informed about the latest technology trends and industry standards.
• Strong grasp of foundational principles of system architecture.
• Persuasive communication skills with clients.

• Technical Proficiency: A deep understanding of various technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, cloud computing, APIs) is essential.
• Architectural Design: Ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements.
• Delivery Management: Managing projects effectively, including scope, timelines, and resources, is essential for successful solution delivery.
• Client Consulting: Understanding client needs, industry dynamics, and business processes is essential for providing tailored solutions that drive value and meet specific client objectives.
• Microsoft Fabric: Proven experience architecting and delivering solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics workloads, with a working knowledge of related Azure data services.

Company Description

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in the following locations: Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, South Carolina, Washington.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 - $190,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
