[Hiring] Application Security Architect @SMBC

Role Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Security Architect - Remote position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 5 month contract opportunity.

This role supports a major Engineering & Automation transformation program, working with global teams across security architecture, engineering, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding security initiatives from analysis and design through to implementation and operational adoption.

Requirements

• Identity and Access Management (IAM): hands-on experience of OAuth2/OIDC, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), scopes, claims, and preventing overly broad token authorizations
• API Gateways & Traffic Control: Ability to configure secure API gateways, rate limiting, and request validation
• Threat Mitigation: Knowledge of protecting endpoints from OWASP Top 10 API vulnerabilities, injection attacks, and credential stuffing
• Runtime Protection: Experience partnering with engineering teams to tune Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and behavioral anomaly detection tools
