Role Description

Position is for completion of a scope of work related to a home page redesign and improvements to site search capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Drupal search engine technologies including Solr.
• Experience with front end development with Drupal Platform and web hosting environments.
• Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.

Requirements

• Manages and updates website content, including text, images and multimedia elements, using Drupal Platform as the Content Management System (CMS).
• Assists in the placement of website content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, appropriateness and timeliness of content and graphic standards (e.g., WCAG accessibility compliance) in the Content Management System platforms.
• Communicates and implements service-related links to other County departments and/or Federal, State and Local agencies and related links.
• Ensures website security by regularly updating software, plugins, and themes, as well as implementing security protocols and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoots technical issues related to website functionality, server configuration, and user access, working closely with IT support and external vendors as needed.
