Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Developer to join a team focused on ensuring 1st-party applications meet the highest accessibility standards. This role combines strong software engineering and web development skills with deep expertise in accessibility remediation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Fix accessibility issues in 1st-party applications in compliance with established accessibility standards, addressing both previously identified and newly discovered issues.
• Add accessibility (a11y) support to existing features of various applications, including rewriting minor features when necessary to resolve complex a11y issues.
• Review newly developed features prior to launch and ensure a11y support is integrated before rollout.
• Verify accessibility fixes completed by other team members to confirm adherence to WCAG, ADA, GAR, and other applicable standards.
• Integrate accessibility automation tools with 1st-party applications and remediate issues surfaced by those tools.
• Collaborate with product teams to provide expert consultation on correct approaches to resolving a11y issues.

Qualifications

• Web Development and Software Engineering (SWE)
• Accessibility Remediation experience
• Strong knowledge of WCAG, ADA, and GAR standards
• Experience with Accessibility Automation Tools
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple product teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with end-client accessibility rating frameworks
• Background in reviewing pre-launch features for accessibility compliance
