Role Description

This role ensures that developed/modified application components align with the business solution and enterprise architecture and meet solution performance goals.

  • Undertakes detailed design work in accordance with standards and guidelines of the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Develops high-level and functional design documents.
  • Identifies and resolves cross-capability, cross-release issues impacting business architecture integrity.
  • Provides specialist advice to the business regarding technology application to enhance business performance.
  • Works with business analysts to define business requirements.
  • Collaborates with development and support managers to develop detailed system design in line with solutions architectures.
  • Undertakes problem diagnosis and analyzes and designs production fixes and minor enhancements.
  • Collaborates with project managers and developers to scope projects according to architectural objectives and principles.
  • Engages with developers to solve design problems and provide corresponding solution specifications.
  • Contributes to the maintenance of a central knowledge repository for design models, development standards, and project deliverables.
  • May work on multi and/or cross-functional business solutions at higher career levels.
  • Supports aspects that operate and enhance the Core HCM, Security Administration, and Reporting & Dashboards functions of Workday.
  • Manages a team of Workday functional and technical resources.
  • Interacts with internal IT organization and external service providers for multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Serves as support to the primary HRIT liaison to understand business needs and prioritize delivery team.
  • Engages with the business community to determine needs and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Interacts with the Platform functionality team, internal COEs, HRBPs, networking teams, and external vendors daily.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems, BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS.
  • 7+ years professional experience in business systems analysis/engineering, solution design, and deployment.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in Workday Functional Design and configuration development.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Core HCM, Business Process Configuration, Security Administration, and Reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of Core and Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
  • Experience with Workday Phase 1 & Phase 2 implementations.
  • Knowledge of all phases of the system development lifecycle.
  • Subject matter expert in the Software Development Lifecycle and operating systems for HCM.
  • Knowledge of US and Global data privacy laws, GDPR, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • JIRA, ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience preferred.
  • Workday Certification in Recruitment (must be current) preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on documentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Benefits

  • The targeted pay range for this role is $105,000 - $140,000.
  • The total compensation package may include applicable incentive compensation, such as an annual performance bonus.
