Role Description

This role involves supporting projects for the REALD/SOGI implementation efforts by developing and proposing potential solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Lead research on possible solutions and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop proposals that outline feasibility and costs.
  • Suggest, design, test, implement, and evaluate solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members, IT staff, and business partners for successful implementation of technology solutions.
  • Work with business units to develop IT strategies and improve current IT implementations.
  • Engage in technical project activities such as:
    • Large-scale hardware cloud system implementations
    • Off-premise system upgrades
    • Software enhancements developed internally or by a vendor
    • Data migrations
    • Development of new data access methods
    • Change control management
    • System performance improvements

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of information systems experience in:
    • Data Architecture
    • Conceptual Database Design
    • Data Modeling
    • Database Administration
    • Data Analysis
    • Data Integration
    • Information technology development
  • An Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND 5 years of information systems experience in the above areas.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience in the above areas.
  • A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in the above areas.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and deploying applications, infrastructure, and services within the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Expertise in developing and analyzing software requirements from business needs.
  • Ability to lead the development of business use cases, user stories, or other agile software development requirements gathering and documentation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and consultation skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure specialties and the interrelationship of information management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with application development, data modeling, and meeting business requirements.
  • Utilization of project administration methods, principles, techniques, and practices.
  • Up-to-date awareness of IT trends, technological changes, and developments.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of Information Systems Technology.
  • Experience with applications written in object-oriented, structured, and event-driven programming paradigms.
  • Ability to turn high-level, customer-driven ideas into actionable software requirements.
  • Experience using modern source control systems, testing practices, code and design review tools and processes.
  • Excellent team skills demonstrated by reliability, constructive communication, active listening, and cooperation.
  • Ability to work with little to no guidance when performing complex development functions.
