Role Description

The Software Engineer III is responsible for developing, maintaining, and migrating our Onboarding applications and services.

Focus on building core solutions and assisting in migration efforts to the cloud.
Work closely with product owners and the software engineering Tech Lead.
Anticipate ~80% hands-on development and ~20% mentoring of junior developers.
Empowered to bring forth new ideas to enhance the system’s analytical capabilities.
Lead the Onboarding engineers and serve as an expert in delivering complex software solutions.
Formulate architectural strategy for clinical document evaluation dashboards.
Collaborate with product owners and technology leaders to define healthcare processes.
Coordinate software engineering efforts across the Onboarding teams.
Design, implement, and maintain clinical data evaluation solutions for C-CDA, HL7v2, and FHIR data.
Facilitate discussions and document software solutions for technical and business audiences.
Identify open-ended problems and consistently propose solutions.
Become a recognized expert in applying tools and processes to solve complex challenges.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience as a full-time Software Engineer.
5+ years' experience with Java.
Experience in React and Material UI.
Strong knowledge of software engineering with a focus on full-stack development.
Experience with Gradle.
Experience in OO Design principles.
Experience with Oracle, including query language.
Experience in AWS/Cloud development.
Experience with git/gitlab or similar source code management tools.
Self-driven leader with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong communication and presentation abilities for technical and business audiences.
Significant experience with agile/scrum development processes.

Requirements

Experience with healthcare information technology is a plus.
Able to guide cross-functional groups with a focus on software, data, and business-intelligence engineering.
Proven experience working independently with little to no assistance.
Willing to take on complex projects in unfamiliar areas.
