Role Description
This role involves delivering innovative technology solutions to thousands of restauranteurs and millions of diners, and scaling our product as we become the must-have technology for restaurants.
- Expressing your mastery: Emphasize changeability, simplicity, testability, and polish to quickly deliver exemplary code.
- Setting an Example for Team Collaboration: Work on a cross-functional delivery team with Designers, Product Managers, and other Engineers.
- Improving our Ecosystem: Utilize your experience to find opportunities for improvement within the delivery team and engineering department.
- Raising the Bar: Help junior teammates and peers improve by guiding them to solutions.
- Write software that meets the expectations of quality for Popmenu Engineering.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, trusting teammates to have the best intentions.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a high-growth or enterprise software development environment.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience on cross-functional software delivery teams.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, plus JavaScript/React, with 1+ years of experience in those or similar dynamic languages and frameworks.
- Experience with testing tools like RSpec, Jest, and Cypress.
- Familiarity with automated end-to-end testing tools like Cypress.
Requirements
- Ability to collaboratively decompose real-world software problems.
- Understanding of how to monitor application performance and bug incidence.
- Great communication skills for close collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
- Comfortable making changes to production databases.
