Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, extensive experience with Point of Sale (POS) system integrations, and a strong background in SQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS cloud services. Experience in the restaurant industry or similar high-transaction environments is highly preferred.
- This role will focus on designing, developing, and integrating scalable and secure applications while driving best practices in architecture, coding, and DevOps.
- The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for mentoring the team, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in software development in POS Systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java and some C# development
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Micros, Symphony, NCR, Square, Revel, or similar)
- Knowledge of Virtual Machines, POS software installation, maintaining POS menu database and troubleshooting POS systems
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for scalable application development
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, WebSockets, and event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams
- Strong project management abilities, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Benefits
- Expected base salary range $145,000 - $175,000
