Role Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Annalise.ai, you will play a key role in developing innovative software solutions that integrate AI models into our platform. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-quality, scalable systems and deliver human-centered, impactful products. Your work will involve:

Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Taking ownership of complex product features or modules, delivering high-quality solutions on time.
Analyzing and decomposing complex problems into smaller, actionable components.
Writing, reviewing, and maintaining clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Quickly addressing software issues, identifying root causes, and providing effective fixes.
Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, user-centric solutions.
Demonstrating a strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
Providing accurate estimates for tasks and project deliverables.
Participating actively in team ceremonies to drive collaboration and enhance processes.
Staying current with emerging technologies and recommending innovative methods to improve product quality.

Qualifications

Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript in production applications, specifically in the context of API/Backend development.
Experience with MongoDB (or similar NoSQL database products).
Experience with Vitest (or similar frameworks) for end-to-end testing.
Experience with Docker for containerised development and deployment.
Experience with Kubernetes and related tools for service orchestration.
Demonstrated experience designing or developing distributed systems.

Requirements

Experience with DICOM/HL7/FHIR, RIS/PACS/EMR (nice to have but not essential).
Experience with DICOM standard / medical domain knowledge (nice to have but not essential).
Experience with contract testing (PACT) (nice to have but not essential).
Experience with AWS services including S3 and EKS (nice to have but not essential).
Experience with queuing or streaming technology such as SQS, Kinesis, Firehose, RabbitMQ, Rabbit Data Streams (nice to have but not essential).
Experience with C# and .NET (nice to have but not essential).
