Role Description
This role involves software engineering focused on modernizing a legacy .NET Framework application used to process engineering data and send it to appropriate ERP systems.
- Translating VB.NET code into C#
- Updating/replacing code as needed to migrate from .NET Framework to .NET 8
- General rearchitecting of components to improve cohesion and testability
- Updates to improve security posture of application
- Proof of Concept (PoC) work to migrate application to cloud PaaS solution from current IaaS solution
Qualifications
- Mandatory skills: C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, .NET 8, ERP, Cloud, PaaS, IaaS, Security, Testability
Requirements
- Ability to perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices
- Initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction
