Role Description

This role involves developing and supporting software in production for a comprehensive restaurant management solution.

Build product features on a TypeScript-first stack consisting of a Next.js frontend and a Node.js/Express/Postgres backend, hosted on AWS.
Incorporate tech debt work into every work week and have longer tech debt only phases.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless product use across multiple integrations and software upgrades.
Experiment with different technology stacks and roles, including proof of concept projects with customers.
Use AI tools like Cursor and ChatGPT to automate toil and enhance productivity.

Qualifications

5+ years of full-stack experience building and supporting software in production.
Experienced in building REST-based web services (Node.js, Typescript, and OpenAPI).
Experienced in system design for both new systems and refactoring old ones.
Experience with robust test patterns for CI/CD builds and post-deployment verification.
Solid understanding of relational databases, including data modeling, normalization, and performance optimization through indexes (Postgres).
Experience with observability systems (Datadog for o11y stack, integrated Logging, APM, RUM, DBM).

Requirements

Experience with mobile development, especially React Native, Kotlin, or Swift/ObjC (Nice to Have).
Experience in another area of product development, like customer support, quality assurance, or test automation (Nice to Have).
