Role Description
you.com is seeking a skilled Senior Front-End Engineer to contribute to the development of scalable, user-facing applications. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining production front-end code while collaborating closely with product and design teams. The Front-End Engineer will be responsible for delivering a seamless, high-quality user experience across both mobile and desktop platforms, with a focus on performance, reliability, and user-validated feedback loops. - Design, implement, and maintain production-grade front-end code using frameworks like React, NextJS, and CSS.
- Build and test complex full-stack applications using tools such as Cypress and Storybook to ensure high-quality user experiences.
- Create scalable applications that handle complex state management, real-time user events, and intricate UI/UX requirements for both mobile and desktop environments.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to quickly iterate on features, leveraging user feedback in a tight development loop.
- Focus on pixel-perfect front-end implementation, lightning-fast load times, and robust deployment strategies.
- Work effectively with engineering teams using best practices and patterns to ensure efficient communication and rapid delivery of features.
- Ensure reliable monitoring and deployment strategies for scalable and robust cloud-based infrastructure.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute to team growth, and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with React, NextJS, CSS, and front-end frameworks for building scalable, production-ready applications.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools like Cypress and Storybook for ensuring application quality.
- Demonstrated ability to build intricate, user-friendly interfaces for both mobile and desktop environments.
- Ability to iterate rapidly based on user feedback, ensuring continuous improvement of features.
- Passion for crafting pixel-perfect designs and optimizing application load times.
- Knowledge of deployment strategies, monitoring systems, and best practices for maintaining robust cloud infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing professional, academic, or personal projects through production code, published papers, or open-source contributions.
Requirements
Our salary bands are structured based on a combination of geographic tiers and internal leveling. Compensation is determined by multiple factors assessed during the interview process, with the final offer reflecting these considerations.
- Salary Band: $190,000 — $260,000 USD
