Role Description
This role involves building scalable backend systems for a global benefits platform.
- Collaborate with different teams and clients to deliver end-to-end solutions with scalability, business impact, and speed in mind.
- Develop scalable systems using microservices in Node.js (or other solutions as needed).
- Write clean, commented, and well-tested code that your teammates can easily understand.
- Review PRs and act as a guardian of code quality and scalability.
- Propose system improvements that help us work faster, save costs, solve scaling issues, or generate new revenue streams.
- Work extensively with AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, RDS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in backend development.
- Experience with Node.js and AWS infrastructure.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and microservices architecture.
- Startup experience is a big plus, especially in navigating rapid growth.
- Curiosity and a drive to propose improvements.
- Ownership-driven mindset.
