Role Description
We are looking for a skilled Principal System Engineer with expertise in Azure, Microsoft 365, DevOps, and Virtual Networks (vNets) to join our dynamic IT team. This role requires a proactive, team-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and collaborating across teams to drive successful outcomes.
- Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Maintain and enhance Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and security controls).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Configure and manage vNets, VPNs, firewalls, and security policies to ensure a secure and well-architected environment.
- Lead and contribute to IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, and alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to enhance IT operations and security.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in system engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, vNets, Virtual Machines, Storage, Azure Security).
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, Terraform, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (vNets, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills – able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from planning to execution.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, willing to take ownership and contribute to the success of the team.
- Strong system and knowledge base documentation writing skills.
Requirements
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or M365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) and security best practices.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), including Azure AD and Conditional Access Policies.
