Role Description
In this role, you will take responsibility for all aspects of IT security and play a central role in the continuous optimization and development of our security level.
- Support projects and changes from conception through implementation to testing and operational phases
- Identify and classify IT security incidents through log file analysis, with support from Splunk, and coordinate remediation with our partners
- Ensure maintenance, optimization, and further development of the IT security level
- Continuously analyze the threat landscape in the field of IT security with your team and external partners
- Act as a liaison to internal stakeholders, particularly within MLP IT, as well as data protection and the information security officer
Qualifications
- Completed degree in (business) computer science, cybersecurity, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the field of IT security/information security
- Familiarity with client/server architectures, networks, and IT security systems
- Basic knowledge of relevant standards and norms (e.g., DIN EN ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, GDPR)
- Familiarity with common Linux distributions such as Red Hat and Debian
- Ideally, initial experience in cloud environments and with Docker and Kubernetes across different cloud providers
- Experience with tools such as Nessus, Burp, nmap, and Kali
- Solution-oriented approach and eagerness to take on responsibility in a strong team
- Strong communication skills in German
