Role Description
Axos Bank is seeking an experienced, OutSystems Developer - Technical Lead, to join our software engineering team and enhance our client experience. As an OutSystems Tech Lead, you will design and implement scalable applications using the OutSystems low-code platform, aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
- Architect solutions, manage integrations, and lead a development team while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Mentor team members, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive the delivery of high-quality, secure, and performant applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
- Stay updated on OutSystems advancements to optimize its use within the enterprise.
This position can be 100% remote (depending upon your location) or on-site at any of our locations, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Omaha.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into viable and scalable applications.
- Lead one or more development teams in implementation of applications.
- Perform code reviews to conform to the development best practices.
- Design, develop and test OutSystems applications using best practices and established coding standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with other tech teams and business analysts as needed.
- Assess existing applications in performance architecture and design and refactor leveraging OutSystems design patterns.
- Conduct root cause analysis using knowledge of applications, interfaces, and technology for defect resolution.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times and consistently interact professionally and productively with all levels of employees.
- Build flexible data models and seamless integration points.
- Guide junior members of the team in their day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' of experience developing web and mobile applications using OutSystems.
- Proficiency in the OutSystems platform, including the use of Service Studio and Integration Studio.
- Proficiency in architecture patterns, solution design, and high performing application development.
- Extensive experience in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance OutSystems applications.
- Extensive experience in developing screens, web blocks, timers, server/service actions, client actions, data actions, etc. in OutSystems.
- Extensive experience in customizing the UI of the screens based on the Figma designs provided.
- 2+ years' experience working with web technologies like ASP .NET, C#, or Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- 2+ years' experience working on relational database language like SQL/Oracle and writing T-SQL queries.
- Knowledge of relational data modeling principles and experience building database objects using E-R modeling tools.
- Ability in building apps with responsive web design compatible with various devices, exposing and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology of project delivery.
- Tools such as Azure Boards, Jira, Confluence.
- Ability to work independently and proactively communicate status and risks to project leadership.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills.
