Role Description
This role involves leading the implementation and maintenance of machine learning infrastructure and operational processes.
- Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning models and tools for healthcare applications.
- Support all projects in the Center of Excellence and contribute to high-impact problems.
- Develop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
- Apply machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Design and implement machine learning infrastructure and pipelines for the Clinical Informatics Data Science team.
- Integrate machine learning models into production systems.
- Develop and maintain automated testing, monitoring, and reporting processes for machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and optimize data preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Develop and implement best practices for machine learning development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Mentor and train other members of the team in machine learning and MLOps best practices.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or IT and Computing, or a related field.
- 3 years of related experience, focusing on MLOps and productionizing ML models.
Requirements
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Proficient in Python and R.
- Cloud computing platform experience with AWS.
- Containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automation tools including CloudFormation, Github Actions, and Terraform.
- API frameworks including Plumber, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Data processing frameworks which include Apache Spark (including pyspark and sparklyr), Hadoop, and Databricks used with large-scale, real-world datasets.
