Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Software Engineering with a strong background in software design, quality and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, a proven track record of modernizing legacy codebases, and a deep expertise in system design and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). This role requires exemplary leadership abilities, with at least 2-3 years managerial experience, and a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality software on schedule and within budget.

  • Spearhead the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient software that aligns with business goals.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate innovative practices and tools, enhancing software quality and scalability across teams.
  • Leverage expertise in system design and SOA to ensure that technical solutions are robust and aligned with best practices.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on system architecture, SOA, Microservices, and legacy codebase modernization.
  • Contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of software development best practices and strategies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including customers and stakeholders, throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Prioritize customer-centric solutions, ensuring that all software deliverables meet the needs of our clients.
  • Oversee project execution, mitigating risks and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proficiency in .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and MVC architecture.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud is needed.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of making sound decisions that drive results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
