Role Description
This role involves backend software development for the Home & Discovery team, focusing on helping users find content on the platform.
- Design and implement features for the platform
- Build robust, secure, and scalable micro-services
- Implement RESTful services with a metric-driven API Gateway
- Take ownership of building scalable, reliable, and performant code
- Influence feature and product development with best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide appropriate RCA
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- 3-5 years of experience building production software systems
- Expertise with JAVA programming language and ecosystem
- Expertise with GoLang programming language
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git
- Experience in developing and deploying cloud-based microservices
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services (S3, Glacier, EFS, Lambda, EC2, IAM, Terraform, Vault)
- Familiarity with Networking, Docker, K8s, GoCD pipelines, Prometheus, Grafana monitoring
- Logical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and frameworks
- Expertise in customer-facing application development in a high-scale environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English)

- Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial environment
Benefits
- Fixed term contract for three months, transitioning to an indefinite contract
- Notice period of one month after the indefinite contract begins
