Role Description
As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in localizing DoiT’s Flagship cloud-native SaaS product for the Japanese market. Our vision is to do the localization the smart way - not the hard way - by leveraging cutting edge technology for code refactoring and machine-assisted translation.
- Develop and implement responsive user interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Localize products for web and mobile applications.
- Assist in reviewing and performing framework and packages updates to support security initiatives.
- Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality, maintainable software.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Function in an Agile environment, participating in daily standup, sprint planning, review and retrospective meetings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, conducting root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in React ecosystem and Tailwind using TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with internationalization, preferably i18next.
- Strong experience in developing automated UI tests.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions and configuring build tooling such as Vite.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Experience in creating precise and responsive UI.
- Experience with meta frameworks, preferably NextJS.
- Familiarity with web security fundamentals.
- Understanding of UI principles and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- Familiarity with cloud cost management / FinOps practices.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
