Role Description

This role involves building and maintaining scalable backend systems using Elixir (or learning it on the job).

  • Develop APIs and services that integrate with AI models to support smarter decision-making.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
  • Build and improve frontend components using React, Next.js, or a similar framework.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and performant.
  • Help shape the engineering culture by contributing ideas, best practices, and processes.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end — from concept to production.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proven experience with backend development in Elixir, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Go, or similar languages.
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs, web services, or scalable systems.
  • Solid understanding of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Strong communication skills — the team is remote, so clarity matters.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Requirements

  • Experience with Elixir or the Phoenix framework (bonus).
  • Familiarity with React, Next.js, or Vue.js (bonus).
  • Interest in AI-powered applications or decision-making tools (bonus).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure (bonus).
