Role Description
As a Drupal Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet user needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers.
- Lead the development process from initial concept through deployment and post-launch support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom modules to extend Drupal functionality according to project requirements.
- Configure and theme Drupal sites for a seamless and responsive user experience across all devices.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality and user experience.
- Identify and implement performance improvements for fast, efficient, and scalable Drupal applications.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with user experience, content strategy, product delivery, and non-technical program management teams.
- Provide ad hoc support for general project planning and technical design.
- Support overall project execution as required.
- Assist in requirements definition, design processes, and documentation processes.
- Troubleshoot and help provide solutions to address bugs.
- Work and refine backlog items to support ongoing deployments.
- Work closely with the product owner and agile development team.
- Demonstrate significant initiative, independence, and an interest in learning the business.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Drupal developments, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Drupal and PHP development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Expert proficiency in Drupal 8/9/10, including custom module and theme development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
- Experience with Drupal APIs, Drush, and Composer.
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of usability/accessibility standards of user interface development.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies like AWS and Acquia.
Salary Information
The salary range for the Drupal Developer position is competitive and commensurate with experience, typically from $110,000 to $115,000 annually.
