Role Description
We are looking for a Development Engineer to join our R&D Laboratory in Brežice as part of our commitment to innovation and technological advancement. This role is essential in driving new product development, optimizing existing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to reality.
- Researches and analyses new ideas, concept solutions, business, technical requirements from the market, and prepares technical specifications and risk assessment in the concept phase of the project.
- Develops components and assemblies, prepares technical documentation by CAD software, performs measurements of components with measuring tools or with CMM in all phases of development and when confirming initial samples and solving complaints.
- Prepares 2D/3D models and pictures, renders for catalogue, instructions, and simulations.
- Notes and reports development results, supported by all calculations, feasibility analysis and test results, to the core and wider project team and, if necessary, to the customers.
- Participates in the preparation of the product cost calculation together with the project team.
- Cooperates in the preparation of the test plan and process with the Laboratory Engineers and in the analysis of the performed tests and the final report.
- Collaborates interdisciplinary with other development departments and project groups within organizations, on regular meetings and project reviews, and also implementation of product into production.
- Works with suppliers in ordering and manufacturing components and in the introduction of new materials, processes, and products in terms of feasibility and defining technical requirements.
- Cooperates with sales team and buyers, in terms of finding solutions in applications, solving problems and also in market research in the development of new products.
- Cooperates with external companies, consultants, and Universities, regarding various researches, and also in the development phase of the product development projects.
- Takes care of and maintains the equipment in agreement with the R&D Manager.
- Ensures compliance with the applicable legislation, standard and internal rules, for maintenance of working equipment and of existing processes in line with the rules on safety and health at work, fire order and environment protection.
