Role Description
This role involves working as a Java Developer within the Frameworks & Messaging team at Nasdaq.
- Enhancing and supporting products while interacting with many Engineers within Nasdaq.
- Working in an agile environment focused on productivity, efficiency, and fun.
- Contributing to all stages of the product life cycle: requirement, design, implementation, testing, deployment, automation, and support.
- Collaborating globally with Product teams within Nasdaq and sometimes with external clients.
- Building and tuning products for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid deployment.
Qualifications
- Software development experience of 5+ years.
- Bachelor/master’s in computer science or similar.
- Strong experience in Java, high-performance transactional platforms, modern architecture, continuous integration/delivery, and automation.
- Previous experience working with development tools such as Git and CI/CD Pipelines.
- Eagerness to drive the evolution of products forward with ideas, designs, and improvements.
- Passion for building great products and writing clean and beautiful code.
- Curiosity and a highly collaborative work style, with a desire to educate others and explore new territories.
Requirements
- Experience/knowledge in the financial industry is a plus.
- Experience with high-performance transactional platforms.
- Experience in C++ or willingness to learn.
- Experience working in an agile team.
