Role Description
This role involves taking full ownership of the backend and building what’s next for our AI-native talent sourcing platform.
- Own and evolve our backend: codebase, infrastructure, data pipelines, and architecture
- Dive into our mature Java/Spring codebase, understand it deeply, and make it better
- Ship new features that power real-world recruiting workflows
- Refactor and modernize where needed—without breaking things
- Manage production infrastructure and optimize for performance and cost
- Move fast and collaborate directly with the founder and product team
Qualifications
- Experience taking over and improving mature codebases
- Proficient in Java + Spring Boot
- Comfortable balancing speed with stability
- Able to make smart tradeoffs between refactoring and shipping
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
Requirements
- Experience with Java + Spring Boot
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines
- Experience with a few legacy API integrations
