Role Description
This Intern Developer, UI focused, is focused on application development, including understanding business requirements, designing/coding technical solutions, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Admissions Application, focusing on improving functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate with the product development team to design and implement new features.
- Help in diagnosing and troubleshooting software issues and bugs.
- Engage in quality assurance testing of new software releases.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation.
- Participate in agile development processes and team events.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate college student
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Requirements
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, Bootstrap, and React)
- Organizational skills
- Great multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Collaboration in a team environment
- Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise
- Must have access to work in a setting that enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location
- Must be able to meet critical thinking and problem-solving aspects aligned to job duties, as well as effectively communicating with co-workers
