Role Description

We are a privately held manufacturer of premium plumbing and hydronic piping systems (including PEX), known in the market for product quality and for running our business the way we expect our best customers to run theirs. We're the #2 player nationally in our category, but the premium brand — and we're actively taking share from the market leader in several regions. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead growth across Georgia and North Florida, a territory being carved out from a larger region to allow for more focused, hands-on coverage.

This is a new-business-focused, relationship-driven role. You'll inherit one large account and a handful of smaller ones, but the bulk of your success will come from opening new doors — building relationships with wholesalers and contractors, and driving demand that gets converted into distributor sales.

• Drive demand and sales growth for our full plumbing and hydronic product lines across Georgia and North Florida.
• Build and grow relationships with wholesalers and contractors (particularly plumbers) to generate sales opportunities and increase market share.
• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on new business development.
• Identify, track, and convert commercial and residential project opportunities.
• Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and educational programs for customers and industry partners.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, golf outings, and customer gatherings.
• Manage your territory and opportunities using Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing (not just HVAC) — residential and/or commercial experience is a plus.
• A background from a wholesale distributor, plumbing contractor/installer, or manufacturer serving that space, with existing relationships and market knowledge in the Southeast.
• Anywhere from 5–6 years of relevant experience up to 20+ years — flexible on career stage, but you need to know the players and be ready to hit the ground running.
• A genuinely likeable, relationship-first personality.
• Comfort with a new-business, hunting-focused sales motion and a quota tied to year-over-year growth.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently across a large territory.
