[Hiring] Technical Sales Manager @Computype Inc

Role Description

This role will be responsible for covering Northern California, Washington, Western Canada, and Alaska. We are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Primary Objective of Position:

• Overall responsibility for achieving the assigned territory sales and profitability goals.
• Develop business plans to expand the customer base and maximize income for the company.
• Work with existing and new customers to understand their requirements and ensure a smooth sales process.

Account / Sales Responsibilities:

• Grow and expand the existing key account customer base in alignment with company objectives.
• Identify and expand opportunities for repeatable, consumable-based business within the territory.
• Manage complex customer projects by coordinating cross-functional internal resources.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposed sales terms and conditions.
• Partner closely with the Technical Services department and other internal stakeholders.
• Utilize market insights and industry knowledge to develop and execute a territory plan.
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting of territory activity through Salesforce.
• Prepare and present RFQ resource requests that clearly communicate business needs.
• Actively participate in annual sales forecasting and ongoing forecast updates.
• Support the implementation and communication of approved pricing programs and adjustments.

Prospecting / Sales Call Activity:

• Strategically plan and execute overall sales strategy within the assigned territory.
• Execute the territory plan to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Utilize strategic selling acumen and listening skills to uncover customer needs.
• Employ solution-selling techniques to identify business needs and develop customized solutions.
• Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and articulate Computype’s competitive advantage.
• Demonstrate effective sales closing techniques in securing profitable business.
• Prospect and open new key accounts.

Qualifications

• College degree.
• 4+ years of sales experience in life sciences or technical/solution-based selling environments.
• Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue growth.
• Ability to travel to customers and territory numerous times a month.
• Must be a self-starter with effective time management skills.
• Must have superior presentation, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality service.
• Demonstrated ability in the management of large accounts.

Requirements

• Starting base salary for this role is expected to be around the $90,000 - $110,000 range, commensurate with experience + Uncapped Commission Earnings.
